Documalis Desktop is a shared application for data collection for individual PCs; it puts at their disposal ergonomic and high-speed interfaces for in-house digitalization of documents, virtual print-out using any professional software, electronic folders for file transfer, and an integrated tool aligned with Microsoft Office.

Uses

Transferred documents can then be published or circulated among users (Workflow Server), they can be processed for OCR, analysed by content. Data can be extracted and they can be reformatted. Page background can be added; clippings (Process Server), despatched by Fax, Mail , Ftp or Http (Communication Server) can be simply inserted in the company document management system (Document Server).
Information thus gathered can also be directly sent to another business-related application in the company : customized processing, data base, accounting, payroll, invoicing, CRM, ERP, logistics, stocks, groupware, document management or third-party workflow through technical connectors and professional de Documalis Process Server.

Desktop Scanner allows the driving of all scanners or personal multi-functional printers connected to the user’s PC. The user can avail himself of an interface for extremely simple digitalization, akin to Office 2007, with preview functions, retrieval, replacement, change of location, deletion of images, before converting the final document in the PDF, Text or Image. Documalis Desktop Printer
Desktop Printer authorizes the creation of virtual printers, capable of capturing all local prints launched from business-related professional software (invoices, payslips, accounts, customer records, summary logistics reports, ERP reports…) to extract the text content (spools analysis), presentation (reformatting, addition of page background, advertisement), or simply to produce a certified digitalized copy, before actual print out of the hard copy. Documalis Desktop Basket
Desktop Basket is a system of automated transfer folders for documents, which allows the user to drag-deposit any type of digital document in one of the virtual folders, which he can call up instantaneously on his screen by touching one of the corners of the screen with the mouse. Each folder is equipped with its own documents processing sequence: protected transfer towards a Documalis processing server, but also direct dispatch by FTP, email or network copy from the user’s PC according to need. Desktop Office is a tool bar which is integrated to Microsoft Office XP applications, 2003, 2007 authorising the collection of information within office solutions, for storage, automatic backup and the editing of documents towards Documalis Process processing servers, Workflow, Communication, GED. Security et Indexing
Data gathered in users’ PCs are automatically compressed, encrypted and transferred in a protected way towards a main processing server. The user may be required to have a user name and password before hand, the capture of various index fields, the classification in a virtual directory structure depending on the configuration of the Documalis entry point.
