Desktop Scanner can help drive two scanners or multifunction personal printers connected to the user’s PC. The user has an extremely simple interface for digitalization, akin to Office 2007, having functions for preview, retrieval, replacement, sorting, deletion of images, before the compilation of the final PDF formatted document, Text or Image.

Uses

The mail service is the first function concerned by the paperlessness or dematerialisation of in-coming documents. In the Documalis solution, the digitalisation task can be centralized on Digital Kiosks or shared among various colleagues using Desktop Scanner and internal office scanners in the company.

Working with ease
The graphic interface of digitalization is completely intuitive for the system users who do not have to worry about the technical characteristics of the scanner. Desktop Scanner allows the user to digitalize his documents and images for individual use and then transfer them directly on a local or shared hard disk, in PDF and image format.

Indexing of documents
The digitalization of confidential documents may require the user’s identification, namely for the capture of various index fields, the classification in a virtual directory structure, depending on the configuration of the Desktop Scanner. Desktop Scanner can also launch an indexing Workflow or approval after digitalization if the user does not so wish or if he is not qualified to index the document at the time of digitalization. This digitalization can also be outsourced at a national or offshore service-provider via Documalis solutions.
