Documalis Remote
Scenarios in a heterogeneous environment
Documalis Designer authorizes the creation of « Remote » tasks in the Processes or Workflows. These will be executed directly within the remote servers Unix, Linux, AS400, Windows via the XRemote client, driven by the Documalis integrated engine. This is all very simple and completely transparent, during development as well as the execution of the process on the Documalis server.
The XTrigger surveillance allows the surveillance in an autonomous way all events in the deported Unix, Linux, AS400, Windows servers and it triggers a Trigger in one of the graphic Documalis servers : Process, Workflow, Document, Communication Server.
Resident clients
XRemote and XTrigger clients are installed on the servers under surveillance or to be driven under Windows or daemon Unix-Linux. The are automatically launched with the server, open a protected communication port and interact with Documalis servers according to a TCP AES 256 bits protected protocol. All configuration works are carried out remotely via the XConfig software.
Configuration in Web mode
Deported clients developed in Java benefit from the simplicity of configuration Web intrinsic to Documalis software: the XConfig software authorizes the network configuration of deported clients, in a Web interface like all others Documalis applications developed for Windows.
XRemote Instructions and XTriggers
The XRemote client has many instructions to handle his files, databases, compression, encryption, system, data transfers, execution systems… Th XTrigger client authorizes the periodic surveillance of files within remote servers and the execution of Sh, Ksh and Perl commands, whose controlled result can help to launch Documalis processing.

Documalis Process and Workflow Server have execution clients and triggers written in Java, which can be easily scrolled out in remote servers like Unix, Linux, AS/400 and Windows. These clients are connected via a protected network and they carry out Instructions on demand, to benefit from internal access rights and from the power of CPUs of remote servers. The Java triggers can exert surveillance on files, processes or any other information in the network servers, to trigger Processes or Workflows in Documalis.
