Complementing traditional electronic mail service

Documalis Communication Server does not claim to replace the company’s classical mail service, but it complements it with the automation of certain task for an incoming mail in a specific mail box. Documalis Communication Server has an SMTP module to receive incoming e-mails (rerouting from the company’s mail service, for example), a POP3 module to check the Documalis mail box, as well as a Webmail module for direct checking of a user’s mail from a Web browser.


Automation on incoming e-mails
 F ilters on certain mail boxes help launch automated processing : launching of a graphic integration Processus, launching of a Workflow among users, transfer in Documalis document management system, execution of a external programme etc.

Storage and legal archiving
Documalis Communication Server utilizes a simple and robust storage architecture: documents are archived as encrypted ZIP files on a protected disk and indexed by an SQL Server database, Oracle or proprietary (a single file to be saved). Incoming e-mails are signed and archived in Documalis Trace Server or an external electronic safe to guarantee the authenticity of the document and the date it was received.

Internal Emails and popup alerts
 Documalis Dashboard, Workflow and Desktop allow the automatic despatch of e-mails when an action or an alert must be sent to the user. Communication Server authorizes the reception and automatic classification of these e-mails depending on their nature. Desktop Basket incorporates a basket linked to a mail box, and this authorizes the display of an MSM popup for an incoming e-mail.
